Red-tailed Hawk & the Moon

 First winter storm in LA yesterday 10/28.  Winter is finally here!

 After the storm, birds are more active, so was I!

 This hawk flew high, very high today.  Wanna touch the moon?

 Nice try!

Kingbirds Harrssing Red-tailed Hawk

Kingbirds often harass Red-tailed Hawks. 

 Sharp-shinned Hawks take other birds as their prey,
and that's why kingbirds would not bother them.

 Compare the tail between Red-tailed Hawk
and Sharp-shinned Hawk.
